With reference to your letter No.1537, dated
26th June, 1901, I am directed by His Excellency the General
Officer Commanding to acquaint you that he has given the matter his full consideration, but regrets that he is unable to
approve of the employment of any of the Armourer Sergeants
serving in this Command, with the Hongkong Police Force.
